Since I've recently gotten back into caring about this website after a four year hiatus, I figured that after a couple of merchandise news related posts, I ought to dust off "3 Random Things" which I initially started doing years ago writing small reviews or comments about random items in my collection.
When you have hundreds upon hundreds of items, they can't always get a lot of attention individually, which is why posts like this are great. It gives you the chance to see more of what is in the Mr. Ghostbuster Museum, and it gives me a reason to look through my collection with a closer eye and find things that I might not have shared too often.
Random Thing #1: Stay Puft Watch
About a month or so ago I picked this up on Mercari. I think it ran me about $12 with free shipping. Oddly enough, I didn't already have one, let alone a carded one.
It was a nice thing to come home to after a visit to the emergency room which resulted in coming home on crutches with a torn calf muscle.
Random Thing #2: Vintage Iron Ons
I came across these for the low price of a quarter at a thrift store about 45 minutes outside of town. A whole unused package of vintage iron on transfers featuring the no ghost logo in various sizes.
I remember coming across these at one point close to 20 years ago. We tried to make a shirt with one of transfers and it completely flaked apart after the first wash, so they'd likely be useless for anything other than displaying in the paper envelope in 2019.
Random Thing #3: Scented Ink Pad
I've probably had this is my collection for a good two years now. I'm pretty certain that I bought it from a Facebook group for about $15.
There were a few different versions of this made containing various colors of ink pads and various ghost designs on the stamp.
I believe the guy who sold it to me found it at a thrift store. Definitely not an item that you come across often.
To top it off, in a world where so many Ghostbusters products are now marshmallow scented with a Stay Puft tie in, this 30 year old ink pad may very well be among the first of those marshmallow scented Ghostbusters products.
I plan to do more with the site. I think after my divorce that it just kind of fell by the wayside and forgotten about for a few years. It just never seemed like anything that I absolutely needed to get to or update, until recently when I decided to dust it off and give it a better reboot than 2016 gave the Ghostbusters.
As always, you can follow me on Facebook under "Mr. Ghostbuster", and please be sure to share these posts. It would be great to get more eyes on them.
