WWE Ghostbusters!

I've waited months for these and they're finally here. WWE Ghostbusters action figures have hit shelves at Wal-Marts nationwide.

WWE Ghostbusters figures may seem like a cash grab (congrats, Mattel) for two different types of collectors, but when you use just a little imagination, you can create a halfway decent back story.

Ok, maybe not, and yes, these are some of the most unnecessary things to ever be made, but when you combine Steve Austin and a proton pack, you've at least got my attention.

Imagine, the WWE in peril as The Undertaker becomes possessed by the spirit of Gozer and is hell bent on becoming WWE Champion and taking over the entire WWE Universe.

Who do you call?

Stone Cold Steve Austin

The bionic red neck, and world's toughest S.O.B. is out to protect the empire he helped take to new heights in the late 90s.

Shawn Michaels

The former Heartbreak Kid comes ready yielding his proton pack and trap, ready to bury the Undertaker for ending his career at Wrestlemania 26.

The Rock

While not making Fast and the Furious sequels, The Great One seeks to lay the smack down on whatever class five full roaming vapor comes his way.

John Cena

Even though you can't see him, the champ is ready to deliver an attitude adjustment to all things that go bump in the night.

WWE Ghostbusters figures are available now at Wal-Mart for about $15 each. Hurry though as they're limited and scalpers are snatching them up fast, especially the Undertaker.

3 Random Things: "There's Something You Don't See Everyday" Editon

Since I've recently gotten back into caring about this website after a four year hiatus, I figured that after a couple of merchandise news related posts, I ought to dust off "3 Random Things" which I initially started doing years ago writing small reviews or comments about random items in my collection.

When you have hundreds upon hundreds of items, they can't always get a lot of attention individually, which is why posts like this are great. It gives you the chance to see more of what is in the Mr. Ghostbuster Museum, and it gives me a reason to look through my collection with a closer eye and find things that I might not have shared too often.

Random Thing #1: Stay Puft Watch

About a month or so ago I picked this up on Mercari. I think it ran me about $12 with free shipping. Oddly enough, I didn't already have one, let alone a carded one.

It was a nice thing to come home to after a visit to the emergency room which resulted in coming home on crutches with a torn calf muscle.

Random Thing #2: Vintage Iron Ons

I came across these for the low price of a quarter at a thrift store about 45 minutes outside of town. A whole unused package of vintage iron on transfers featuring the no ghost logo in various sizes.

I remember coming across these at one point close to 20 years ago. We tried to make a shirt with one of transfers and it completely flaked apart after the first wash, so they'd likely be useless for anything other than displaying in the paper envelope in 2019.

Random Thing #3: Scented Ink Pad

I've probably had this is my collection for a good two years now. I'm pretty certain that I bought it from a Facebook group for about $15.

There were a few different versions of this made containing various colors of ink pads and various ghost designs on the stamp.

I believe the guy who sold it to me found it at a thrift store. Definitely not an item that you come across often.

To top it off, in a world where so many Ghostbusters products are now marshmallow scented with a Stay Puft tie in, this 30 year old ink pad may very well be among the first of those marshmallow scented Ghostbusters products.

I plan to do more with the site. I think after my divorce that it just kind of fell by the wayside and forgotten about for a few years. It just never seemed like anything that I absolutely needed to get to or update, until recently when I decided to dust it off and give it a better reboot than 2016 gave the Ghostbusters.

As always, you can follow me on Facebook under "Mr. Ghostbuster", and please be sure to share these posts. It would be great to get more eyes on them.

Real Ghostbusters DVD for just $1!

While out and about this morning running errands, I needed to stop at the Dollar Tree to get some of those big padded envelopes to ship out some orders from my vintage toy hustle. As I walked in there was a huge bin full of DVDs and Blu Rays. I'm always a sucker for cheap movies, since I live in the cave man ages and am too cheap to pay for the 900 different streaming services.

While never expecting to strike gold, there mixed in with copies of the live action The Tick series and a cheap load of movies that nobody has ever even heard of was this:

For the low price of just a dollar, I scored a Real Ghostbusters DVD!

This particular version is from the big push in 2016 coinciding with the release of the dreaded Paul Feig reboot film.

For just a buck you get some top notch episodes. "Ghost Busted" , "Beneath These Streets", "Boo-Dunnit", and "Banshee Bake a Cherry Pie?" are just a few of the certified gold hits on this DVD which contains 11 episodes in all.

And yes, it is three years too late to take them up on the offer for $5 off of a ticket to see a movie that won't make you laugh, but will make you want to absolutely destroy your sense of sight and sound.

If there's a Dollar Tree near you, which there is probably no less than 62 of them within a 2 mile radius, stop in and raid the DVD bin!

New Ghostbusters shirt from Five Below

In our little town, which isn't so little, but pales in comparison to real cities, we finally got a Five Below store.

Tonight marked my third trip in. I didn't really find much the first couple of times, with the exception of decks of Ghostbusters 2016 reboot UNO cards at $5 each. I already have a couple, so I've declined picking them up in favor of things I actually need for my collection.

While I didn't necessarily need yet another Ghostbusters shirt, this one is too cool to pass up, especially for the $5 price tag.

Depicted is the familiar no ghost logo, however the red ring is replaced by a ring on runny slime.

They had a large stack of them available, ranging from small to extra large.

Five Below stock doesn't last long, so hurry in to grab yours.
